Developer Comments
Starting with Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6), Apple is getting rid of InputManagers, which gave developers a way to get into otherwise unpluggable applications and enhance them. Safari "plugins" were usually InputManagers, in one form or another, because Apple never gave developers a true plugin architecture to modify the browser. (They did provide a plugin architecture to support custom content in web pages, though)
So until we find a new way to do things, or until Apple opens-up its applications to plugin developers, you will need to run "hosting applications" in "32-bit mode" for InputManagers to work. We are obviously looking for an official, long term solution, but in the meantime, this should let you keep using your favorite plugins.
Please note: this is only necessary if you use the Safari plugin; the Web Snapper application will work fine as is in Snow Leopard.
Switching a hosting application to 32-bit mode
In the Finder, go to your Applications folder.
Click once on Safari to select it.
Hit Command-i to get the "Info" window for Safari.
Check the Open in 32-bit mode checkbox.
Restart Safari - Web Snapper should now be working as usual.
